2021 ONLINE 300 Hour Teacher Training

This Advanced Level Teacher Training is open to those who have completed a 200hr Certification program (or have alternate experience levels) and consists of 300hrs of training. The training provides over a year of on-going instruction in the Art of Teaching and the study of Yoga as a vehicle for transformation. It also offers an experiential training in the leading of intensives and workshops preparing participants for their own next level of offerings to students.
 

Program Description: VISION + COMMITMENT

 

The aim of this training is to aid in the development of truly impactful Yoga Teachers: Teachers who are leaders. In order to accomplish this aim, we will study in depth the space within which the teacher learns, grows, teaches and leads: The mirror of everyday life. We will refine our vision and commitment to our role in the classroom to achieve a level of mastery as a teacher and leader in our community.

 

We will explore the dynamics of karma, principle, awareness, freedom and choice. We will come to a holistic understanding of the human experience we share, the purpose of spiritual practice and the role of the teacher. To that end, teachers engaged in the Advanced Vinyasa Teacher Training will study and be able to teach classes and workshops that address:

 

The Yoga Sutras as a context for understanding and transformation
The Mechanics of Karma as the foundation of spiritual growth
The Three Aspects of Practice: Sila, Samahdi and Wisdom
The Powerful Intersection of Western Science and Yoga
Non-violence in action
The Art of Sadhana: The Development and Refinement of a Home Practice
A Refined Vision of the Yoga Teacher's Tools: Asana, Pranyama and Meditation
The Experiential Workshop/Retreat Development

The experiential workshop/retreat component of this training offers an exceptional opportunity. This module will prepare the teacher to conduct workshops and retreats at the 1-7 day levels. There will be an emphasis on the design and leading of these types of offerings for students.

BFC Parent Yoga Session

Bloomington football club is partnering with Vibe Yoga Studio to offer an Introduction to Yoga series to all BFC athletes and parents. The 4 week intro series will be offered on the following Saturdays 11/20, 12/4, 12/11 12/18/21
In this 4 week course parents will work on the foundations of yoga to support flexibility, relaxation and mindfulness. Young athletes will practice in one room and parents will practice in a separate room.
The sessions will be 45 minutes in length.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our BFC community to learn a practice that can be carried with them the rest of their lives.

BFC Youth Yoga Session

Bloomington football club is partnering with Vibe Yoga Studio to offer an Introduction to Yoga series to all BFC athletes and parents. The 4 week intro series will be offered on the following Saturdays 11/20, 12/4, 12/11 12/18/21
Our young athletes will be led by Vibe instructors through a beginning series of poses focusing on flexibility, strength, stamina and mindfulness.
Young athletes will practice in one room and parents will practice in a separate room.
The sessions will be 45 minutes in length.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our BFC community to learn a practice that can be carried with them the rest of their lives.

200 Hour 5 Month Teacher Training

Welcome to the Vibe Yoga 5 Month 200 hour Teacher Training Course!
 
Over the next 5 months, you will learn the foundation of teaching an “open level” power vinyasa yoga class. By the end of the training, you will have the resources to lead a safe and meaningful yoga class and a strong foundation to begin your journey as a yoga teacher.

This year we are pleased to announce Vibe's 200 hour teacher training will be held in person. We are requiring that all faculty and students in this course are vaccinated prior to the course.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

->Prepare a 60 minute yoga class.

->Teach the class with proper breath, posture, and anatomical cues.

->Provide accurate demonstrations and workshop posture breakdowns, assist your students as needed.

->Clearly convey your knowledge of yoga philosophy to support your students in asana, pranayama, meditation, and general guidance through the practice.

->Explain yoga systems and terminology including but not limited to the Kosha System, Chakra System, and concepts surrounding the eight limbs of yoga to communicate the philosophy of the practice and uphold the historical roots of yoga.

->Understand basic anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga to support your cues and explanations.

->This course will cover the entry level materials that prepare you for the 300 hour advanced studies opportunities that follow if you choose.

->Once the course is completed you will have the certification required to apply for Yoga Alliance credentials if desired.

Teaching Methods:

Lecture, physical asana practice, demonstration, discussion, role-plays between student and teacher, interactive activities in small group and large group settings, personal reflections, in class and out of class assignments including group projects.

Opening Friday 1/14: 5:30-7:30pm

Tuesdays: 5:30-8:30pm

Thursdays: 5:30-8:30pm

Fridays: 5:30-9:30pm

Saturdays: 9:00am-6:pm (1 hour break)

Closing Saturday 5/14: 9:00-11:00am

Self-Care Saturday: Wellness Retreat with Slow Flow Yoga and Art

Treat yourself to a restorative workshop for well-being.
Join us to find your center. This workshop, a two-hour exploration of personal well-being through mindful movement, breath, reflection, and art making, is facilitated by an instructor from Vibe Yoga Studio and Lauren Daugherty (Eskenazi Museum of Art).

Participants should bring a yoga mat, towel, water, and, if desired, an old book to repurpose as an art journal. Paper and other art supplies are available in the art-making studio.

Lauren Daugherty is an art therapist and Arts-based Wellness Experiences Manager at the Eskenazi Museum of Art, where she provides art therapy groups, individual art therapy sessions, and wellness experiences.
