Liz has had a 25-year career as a dancer/teacher/choreographer working throughout the USA and abroad, and currently serves as Director of Contemporary Dance at Indiana University. She holds a graduate degree in the acquisition of motor skills and performance, and has developed an approach toward affecting change in movement patterns in students through somatic practices, feedback, and muscle engagement. Liz began practicing yoga in 2009, and quickly saw the parallels between dance and yoga, especially with regard to strengthening the mind/body connection. She recently completed Vibe’s 200-hour RYT program, which has deepened and informed her somatic work. Liz is focused on guiding students to discover the link of breath to movement, body awareness through strength, and opening up energy channels through vinyasa flow.
