Yoga Class Descriptions
Yoga Standard Classes:
Power Flow: Power and movement are the foundation of this class. Create heat and energy in the body as one asana leads fluidly into another. Integrates cardio, balance, strength and relaxation.
Power Fusion: Blends classic Hot Yoga postures with some Vinyasa movement. This class focuses on balance and strength with a well rounded sequence that works arms, legs, back and core. Perfect balance for a Vinyasa practice because of the elimination of Chaturanga, giving a break to wrists and shoulders.
Sculpt: Integrates weights into a Vinyasa Flow sequence. This is a great class to strengthen muscles used in foundational yoga poses. Class offers cardio as well as strength workouts with a heavy core focus.
Beginner: The use of props and modifications makes this class perfect for those interested in a flowing and powerful practice with less intensity, a slower pace and in-depth direction.
Levels for Yoga:
Level 1: For people who are familiar with basic yoga poses. Students are instructed with cues, while maintaining a slower pace for those learning the foundation
Level 2: These classes are high intensity and encourage experienced yogis to explore new poses and challenges in their practice. Be prepared for a fast pace and a lot of sweat!
All Levels: We welcome all levels to these classes to practice together.
Pilates Standard Classes:
Core Strength: This challenging series of Pilates exercises targets the core area. Sometimes integrating different equipment, it will leave you with a powerful feeling that will increase control and endurance in your yoga practice and your every day life.
Core Control: This class explores the way in which subtle body movements expand out from the core area. By learning how to engage the core, you can move with more strength and stability
Core Sculpt: An integration of weights and Pilates exercises makes this class challenging and powerful. You will learn control, gain strength throughout the body and probably work up a little sweat!
Beginner: This class focuses on identifying core engagement and an introducing to basic principles of alignment.
Levels for Pilates:
Level 1: For people familiar with basic pilates exercises. Students are instructed with cues while maintaining a slower pace for those learning the foundation of pilates.
Level 2: These classes begin to integrate more challenging exercises, but still offer modifications for those beginning to deepen and expand their practice. Be prepared for a higher intensity level, but always with the option to be true to your practice
Vibe Yoga Additional Classes:
These classes are to offer diversity at studio, these classes are subject to change based on the availability of the certified instructor.
Belly Dance Fit: Inspired by the movements and music of bellydancing, this class is a fun and playful cardio workout. Find your expression of these flowing movements as you learn how grace and power create a beautiful workout
Nia: A form of exercise that integrates dance, martial arts and healing arts movements to the flow and beat of music and creativity. Not only is this class a lot of fun, but it is also a gentle way to find an intense workout.
Kundalini: A dynamic blend of asana (posture), pranayama (breath) and mantra (chanting) will teach you the art of movement, relaxation and self-healing. Balancing body and mind enables you to experience the clarity and beauty of body and soul.
Hatha: This foundational philosophy and practice of yoga includes a variety of expressions and instruction. A classic approach to posture and breath, these classes will include a range of technique and instruction. A great way to add something new to your practice!
Prenatal: Explore the adventures of pregnancy in a safe and empowering environment! Deepen your relationship with your body and your baby through gentle postures and breath work. Beneficial at any times during your pregnancy to relieve common discomforts, build strength and maintain flexibility. Open to women trying to become pregnant and women six weeks or more postpartum. Doctor's or Midwife's note required.
Bootcamp: This two week intensive program is designed to heighten your fitness capacity. By integrating a variety of workout practices you will increase your strength, endurance, balance and control. Whether you are wanting to slim down, tone up or deepen your yoga practice this program will get you in shape and be a lot of fun!
Corecamp: This one week intensive program is designed to get your core in shape. Using a variety of Pilates methods, you will leave this week with increased strength and a desire to continue engaging your core.
Vibe Workshops: We are always interested in finding new ways to help you deepen your practice. We regularly hold workshops that focus on deep hip opening, exploring inversions or focusing on a certain series. We also bring outside teachers who add new styles and techniques to what we have here at Vibe. These are great opportunities to discover something new!
Yoga 101: This is a four week series that covers the foundation of basic postures, breath awareness, and philosophy of yoga. Designed to give beginners and seasoned practitioners a strong foundation and understanding of yoga. This is an enrollment only course make sure to sign up ahead!
